Data Collection and Analysis

Much of Alan’s work involves managing the collection and analysis of transport data, including market research data – it is one of our key specialisms. This also includes appraising and analysing data collected by others, or from such sources as Electronic Ticket Machines (ETMs).

One series of consultancy projects was purely about Data Collection methodology; Alan designed and implemented electronic data capture systems to provide information with respect to concessionary fares schemes and supported service monitoring. This included the evaluation of alternative hardware. (with QV Associates for Tayside Regional Council and SPTE)
